Jetskier rescued from Douglas Bay

by isleofman.com 16th January 2010

A surf rescue team from Douglas Coastguard was scrambled this morning (Saturday) after a jetskier hit problems in Douglas Bay.

He was washed onto the beach in heavy conditions shortly before midday after the Coastguard Marine Operations Centre was alerted.

Coastguard Officers checked the man for injuries but he survived his ordeal unscathed. His jet ski was recovered from the beach.

The Coastguard says if anybody spots an emergency situation at sea, on the cliffs or on the coast, they should dial 999.
