Jurby man's body was unrecognisable

by isleofman.com 14th January 2010

A court’s heard how the body of a 41 year-old man lay undiscovered for so long, he could only be identified by DNA testing.

Mark James Taylor Fenton of Bretney Close in Jurby was found dead at his home on November 30 last year.

But identification through normal means proved impossible because of the advanced state of decomposition.

A post-mortem examination found he’d died from acute alcohol intoxication.

Adjourning the inquest, coroner of inquests Michael Moyle released his body for funeral arrangements to be made.
