Michael Foot to speak at annual event

by isleofman.com 14th January 2010

The man who was commissioned by the United Kingdom Government to write a review of the Crown Dependencies and Offshore Territories will address an audience in the Isle of Man later this month.

Michael Foot will be the major guest speaker at this year's State of the Nation gathering.

The Compliance Institute, which is organising the day-long event, is promising it will be the biggest and best yet.

Chairman of the institute John Bourbon is delighted they have managed to persuade Mr Foot to speak during the morning session, and chair an afternoon panel-style debate on the future prospects of the Manx economy (play audio file):

The State of the Nation event is on January 27.
