Laxey will be without a mobile phone network until the snow on the Mountain Road has cleared.
Sure Mobile's Snaefell transmitter was knocked out by the unusually cold weather on Tuesday afternoon, leaving customers in the village unable to use their phones.
Sure's engineers tried to reach the site this morning but dangerous weather conditions made it impossible.
Weather forecasts suggest it will be next week at the earliest before work can be carried out to repair the fault.
Country manager for Sure Isle of Man Mike Stanton apologised to those affected and said the company would work to re-establish operations as soon as possible.
