Car hits 14 year-old boy

by isleofman.com 12th January 2010

Police in Douglas are appealing for more information about an accident in the Woodbourne Road area on Monday afternoon in which a school boy was knocked over.

The 14 year-old was hit by green Volkswagen Golf at the junction of Hawarden Avenue and Wesbourne Drive after the end of the school day, at 3.30pm.

He was taken to Noble's Hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Police say the area was busy with traffic leaving Ballakermeen School and the accident caused a snarl-up.

Officers are thanking witnesses who've come forward so far but are urging anyone else in the area at the time who saw the incident to get in touch.

If you can help contact police headquarters on 631212.
