H&S case adjourned

by isleofman.com 12th January 2010

A court case against Callow's Yard Developments Limited has been adjourned until early March.

The case goes back to an accident that occurred on the site in February 2008 when a worker was severly injured in a wall collapse.

Dominick O'Donnell is said to have pulled himself from under two tons of rubble and was hospitalised for a considerable period. He has not returned to work.

Callow's Yard Developments Limited is being prosecuted under clauses of the Health and Safety at Work Act and Construction Health and Saftey Regulations 1985.

High Bailiff Michael Moyle granted the adjournment to allow Callow's Yard Developments Ltd's legal team to obtain an expert opinion.

The case will reconvene on March 9.
