Bus services restored as soon as possible

by isleofman.com 12th January 2010

The Director of Public Transport says the division have done everything they can to get their services back to normal as quickly as possible.

Ian Longworth has described the recent conditions as 'very challenging' and says it's difficult to make exact provision for such extremely cold weather.

He adds that many bus routes run outside the main roads which are regularly gritted and the fleet of vehicles which they operate weren't specified to run in 'Scandanavian type temperatures'.
