The Vicar of Onchan is to be officially recognised for his work in the community.
Reverend Malcolm Convery is to receive the Onchan Community Cross.
It is presented to someone every two years for enhancing the quality of life in the district and carrying out publicly-spirited work.
They're chosen by a panel consisting of Onchan MHK Peter Karran, the Captain of the Parish, the chairman of the commissioners and a politician who lives in Onchan.
Canon Convery, who retires at the end of this month, has been praised for his practical and spiritual support.
He’ll receive the award at a civic reception on January 26.
