DoT checking closed roads every day

It seems the bitterly cold weather is here to stay for some time and a number of roads on high ground are likely to remain closed for the next few days (see current story called 'roads and buses - latest detailed information', for list).

The closures include the Mountain Road, which is expected to be impassable until next week.

Department of Transport maintenance engineer Dave Corkish and his colleagues are checking on conditions every day:
