Will government pay full cost of refurbishment?

It's now a race against the clock to redevelop the Bowl in time for the 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games.

Yesterday, Douglas Borough Council voted narrowly against funding half of the proposed ?3.5 million scheme, but councillors agreed to transfer ownership of the facility to central government.

Now the Manx government has to decide whether to take on the full cost of refurbishment in time for next year's prestigious international event.
