Island to Feature on BBC's Countryfile

by isleofman.com 8th January 2010

The Isle of Man will be a guest star on BBC1's Countryfile this Sunday (10th January).

In this special edition of the programme, Matt Baker and Julia Bradbury (pictured, centre) head for the Isle of Man to take a look back at some of their favourite places from the series so far.

The Countryfile team, including presenters Matt Baker and Julia Bradbury, visited the Island on Saturday 5th December and spent a full day filming at many locations around the Island.  These included the Calf of Man and Cregneash, the TT Course, Close Sartfield Nature Reserve and George Steriopulos’s Loaghtan Lamb Farm.

The coverage was organised in conjunction with the Department of Tourism and Leisure and Manx National Heritage.  It has also been confirmed that the footage from the Island will be compiled on a special Countryfile DVD later this year.

Countryfile is on BBC1 at 6pm on Sunday 10th January.
