Heroin seizure - men due in court

Two men are due to appear in court in Douglas this morning in connection with a seizure of heroin with a street value of ?50,000.

Police recovered half a kilo of the drug in the Loch Promenade area of the capital yesterday morning and two men were subsequently arrested.

A 39-year-old man from the United Kingdom has been charged with the importation of Class A drugs, and with possession with intent to supply .

The second man, who is 36 and from Ramsey, is accused of being involved in the importation of Class A drugs.

He also faces a charge of possessing them with intent to supply.
