Decision tomorrow on whether schools will open

by isleofman.com 5th January 2010

All the sporting and other events which are normally held at the Island's schools on Tuesday evenings have been cancelled.

The Department of Education says it's taken the decision because of the severe weather conditions.

Youth clubs are among the organisations affected.

No decision has been made on whether the schools will be open for lessons tomorrow.

Education officials are monitoring the weather in conjunction with the Met Office, Bus Vannin and the police, and a decision will be made by 7am tomorrow (Wednesday).

An announcement will be made via the media.
