Major drug seizure in capital

Class A drugs with a street value of ?50,000 were seized by police in the Isle of Man today.

A kilo of heroin was involved in the biggest haul of the drug recovered by officers in recent years.

Two men are in custody following an operation centred on Loch Promenade, Douglas this morning.

Police say the success of the operation was down to what they call 'a proactive approach'.
