Many services and social gatherings have been suspended or cancelled because of today's snow and icy roads.
They include the refuse collection service in Ramsey, and the northern and eastern civic amenity sites.
The Butterflies day nursery in Sulby, Victoria House nursery and the Braddan pre-school group are all closed, as are the playgroups in Peel, Marown, Willaston and Kirk Michael, and the Happy Valley playgroup in Port St Mary.
The Cranford nursery school, the Trinity playgroup in Douglas and Toddle Inn at Port St Mary are similarly affected by the weather.
Also off are the coffee mornings at Ramsey town hall and St Mary's on the Harbour in Castletown and the Mothers' Union meetings at St Peter's in Onchan and in Kirk Michael. The Onchan pensioners' coffee morning and today's Salvation Army Ark nursery session are also cancelled.
Not surprisingly, all driving tests are off, the mobile library won't be operating and, on a similar theme, the Family library in Westmoreland Road, Douglas is closed.
Other businesses and services closed today include the Southern Swimming Pool, the Compass dental surgery in Onchan, and the Village Pharmacy in Kirk Michael.
The Colby and District Over 60s group won't be meeting today, but normal service will resume at 2pm next Tuesday.
There will be no Meals on Wheels deliveries, but relatives of people who use the service have been informed, and anybody needing further information is asked to ring 687308.
