Bishop wants greater unity among Christians

Branches of the Christian church across the Isle of Man will be invited to sign a new convenant this year, to work together more closely in delivering the message in the gospels.

Bishop Robert says in 2010 he aims to foster a new spirit of cooperation between all branches of the church, emphasising what they have in common instead of marking out differences in forms of worship.

This will include those who attend the Church of England, Roman Catholics and Baptists, as well as the Pentecostal, Orthodox and independent churches.

Bishop Robert says they will be approached in the near future, with a view to a covenant being signed in June:
