Temperatures continue to rise

Weather forecasters at Ronaldsway say 2009 was a slightly warmer, wetter year than average, with a good spring and early summer.

A summary of statistics for 2009 shows higher than normal temperatures throughout the year, although bucking the trend was December, which was the frostiest since 1961.

Dave Hulse from the Met Office says 2009 roughly followed a pattern established in previous years:
