Homestay help needed

by isleofman.com 2nd January 2010

A record number of Island households are now offering Homestay accomodation to TT visitors but more are still needed.

Those thinking of joining the Homestay scheme for 2010 are invited to get their property registered in the new year.

The event's attracted large numbers of visitors since the centenary in 2007 and the Department of Tourism is keen to help those travelling from overseas book their accomodation early.

For a small registration fee, householders can take-in paying guests during both the TT and the MGP.

The DTL's Quality and Services Manager Angela Byrne says Homestay is thriving but new members are always welcome.
