by isleofman.com 30th December 2009

Road Racer Mark Cringle and Mark Tiernan were the surprise winners of the Ramsey Motorcycle Club's two-man enduro at Ballagarraghyn on Boxing Day.

An astonishing record entry of 118 pairs took part in the popular event.

The Millennium Way Relay was shortened because of the Mountain Road being closed on Boxing Day. The race started at Crosby and finished in Castletown Square.

The winners were the team called Buddy Mullets - Caroline Caren, Simon Atherton, Gareth Bennett and Jamie Teare.

Paul Kneen was the clear winner of the cycle race.

It's only the third time in 30 years that the shortened race format has had to be used.

Dave Walton was the winner of the Christmas Shoot at Meary Veg held in cold, wet and windy conditions on Sunday.

He notched up a score of 135, 9 better than second placed Mark Corrin with Stan Skinner in third.

33 shooters took part.
