Extreme athelete Bethany Clague says she wants to 'beat the promenade into submission' and will try again next month to complete 100 lengths in just a few days.
She failed in her challenge earlier this month, after feeling unwell shortly after starting.
However, she is now back in training, has run ten lengths in a day, and says she feels great.
Bethany says she was disappointed and deeply embarrassed after the failure of her last attempt, but she is determined to try again, albeit with a few changes.
Starting on Monday, January 18, she will run 16 to 18 lengths of the promenade every day for six days, which is the equivalent of a marathon every 24 hours.
The schedule will enable her to start running about 10am when any snow or ice has melted, and finish around 4pm, before it gets too dark.
She hopes to complete the challenge on January 23 and plans to raise more money around the pubs of Douglas after finishing.
Bethany will be dressed as a Viking queen for the run and says she is not going to let her setback beat her.
