Mephedrone legislation needed says Home Affairs Minister

Moves to outlaw mephedrone in the Isle of Man are being welcomed by the Home Affairs Minister.

Adrian Earnshaw says he's never been opposed to bringing in legislation to make the drug illegal, he just wants it done properly.

Health Minister Eddie Teare has confirmed he'll bring in emergency measures next month to deal with what's seen to be the growing problem of mephedrone use on the Island.

Mr Earnshaw says that's adequate for now, but something more comprehensive is needed long-term:
