The Department of Health and Social Security says the Manx Emergency Doctors' Service will be open throughout the Christmas period.
MEDS is open from 6pm to 8am on weekdays and 24 hours at weekends and bank holidays, including Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
The DHSS says people who need to consult a GP urgently can contact the service on 650355, but those with injuries or severe illnesses should go direct to the Accident and Emergency department at Noble's Hospital.
The public is reminded that MEDS is currently temporarily located at the Central Community Health Centre in Westmoreland Road, Douglas (next door to Kensington Group Practice), and not at Noble's Hospital.
There is also advice for parents of young children, after a MEDS spokesman said you should keep a well stocked medicine cabinet to treat minor illnesses, including paracetamol and ibuprofen suspensions.
The service says it's also a good idea to have a stock of rehydration sachets to hand in case of diarrhoea or vomiting.
