A government minister in the United Kingdom appears to have contradicted herself over the ending of the Reciprocal Health Agreement with the Isle of Man.
In a letter dated September 21 this year, Public Health Minister Gillian Merron said March 31 next year had been agreed as the most suitable termination date.
However, in correspondence to Conservative MP Michael Ancram, dated November 27, Ms Merron says 'an end date for the agreement has yet to be formally set'.
A spokesman for the Manx Government said there seemed to be no reason for the fresh statement, which appeared to throw doubt on the end date.
