by isleofman.com 24th December 2009

Ward 20 were the winners of this year's 'Best Dressed Christmas Tree' competition at Noble's Hospital.

The competition was judged on 18th December by Mr Alan Crowe MLC, Mrs Di Rainford, Superintendent Radiographer, and Mrs Ros Richmond.

The judges were extremely impressed with the standard throughout the hospital.  The Dining Room and Ward 5 were highly commended for their fabulous trees and the judges gave a special mention to Ward 4 for their beautiful winter wonderland of Christmas decorations.  Ward 20 won for their display of 'Christmas through the ages.'

Bev Critchlow, Director of Nursing, extended her congratulations to all areas that took part, especially Ward 20, the Dining Room, Ward 5 and Ward 4, and thanked them for their continued efforts and commitment.

She said, "Every year the standard of our Christmas tree decorations exceeds the previous year.  Staff and patients alike really enjoy the competition.

"The decorations go some way to helping us make the hospital environment a very special place for our patients at Christmas."
