Book chronicles Island's history

A new book aims to give a definitive guide to the Isle of Man's history, and its author hopes it will be of general interest.

The publication updates Canon Stenning's history of the Isle of Man, widely regarded as one of the most detailed Manx histories ever written.

John Grimson says his two-part book, entitled 'The Isle of Man, Portrait of a Nation', will bring readers bang up to date with even the most recent events.

And he says it's not just for history experts:
