by isleofman.com 23rd December 2009

The Isle of Man will host it's first ever ICC Tournament next summer.

The announcement from Lords yesterday means the European Under-17 Division Two Championships will be staged on the Island in July.

Ten countries will be competing - Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and the Manx national side.

Pitches to be used are at Crosby, King Williams College, Mullen-e-Cloie and Tromode.

Manx Radio Cricket correspondent Maurice Trace says the event will create a little piece of history:-

The tournament will take place between Saturday 24th and Thursday 29th July.
