Police advice to protect children

Police in the Isle of Man want adults and children to report any signs of sexual grooming.

It follows the jailing earlier this week of 59-year-old Anthony Edward Duggan, who admitted befriending a 15-year-old boy, with the intention of engaging in sexual activity with him.

Police say Duggan bought him cigarettes and alcohol to gain his trust, but was arrested before any sexual activity took place.

Sergeant Cathryn Bradley from the Public Protection Unit says parents should look out for telltale signs when they talk to their children (play audio file):
