Fairclough wins Santa Dash

A record-breaking 114 entrants made up of Santas, reindeer and even an elf or two took to the streets of Douglas this lunchtime in aid of charity.

The Isle of Man Bank's annual Santa Dash got under way from its headquarters on Prospect Hill at 12.30, with the quickest finishing the route less than five minutes later.

The winner was dash debutant Ryan Fairclough (riasing money for a motor neurone disease charity), just one second shy of the record: (play clip)

Nine seconds back in second place was Tom Richmond (Balla Africa),third was Tom Cringle (IOM Anti-Cancer Association) while Anne Gumbley (IOM Children's Centre) was the first lady home.
