Keep an eye on your Christmas dinner!

Don't let the excitement of Christmas make you forget fire safety.

That's the important message from the Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service, as local residents prepare to cook for more guests than usual.

Sub Officer Peter Killey of the Community Safety Team says it's easy to forget about things bubbling away on the stove when people arrive for Christmas dinner.

But it's vital to keep an eye on everything that's cooking, to avoid starting a fire:
