Youth Centre stun Marown; Ayre go top

by isleofman.com 19th December 2009

Ramsey Youth Centre turned on the style in CFS Division Two to stun leaders Marown.

A Martin Murphy hat-trick, a Steven Oates double and one from Aidan Cummins sealed an excellent 6-4 victory for the lowly northerners.

Cliffy Lewin, Paul Blair and James Sharp (two) found the net for Marown, who led 2-1 at the break.

Ayre United are now top after an impressive 4-1 home victory over Foxdale.

Two from Phil Quayle and one apiece from Matthew Montgomery and James Teare meant Aaron Costain’s reply for Foxdale was a consolation.

Malew saw off Douglas and District bvy the same scoreline, courtesy of goals from Ben Gregson, Steven Tidy, Daniel Thirlwell and Craig Howard, to move up to ninth.

Richard Brant scored the D& D consolation.
