Snow reassurance from DoT

The Department of Transport says it’s ready should snow fall and the roads freeze over the weekend.

Forecasts of snow and plummeting temperatures on Saturday mean the Island could be in for its coldest spell of the winter so far.

But the DoT says it has plenty of salt and gritters on call over the weekend to clear the main roads in the event of bad weather.

Acting Engineering Works Manager Alan Hardinge says workers are as prepared as they can be:
