A prisoner at Jurby who punched a fellow inmate has been given an additional two month sentence.
Twenty-seven-year-old Christopher William Scatchard admitted the attack, which happened on September 14th after the two mouthed off at each other.
Scatchard's advocate said his client was wound up at the time and "just lost it".
He'd been due for release on January 15th and had been accepted at a college in Scotland, where he originally comes from, after completing a number of education courses while inside.
High Bailiff Michael Moyle ordered for the sentence to run concurrently, so Scatchard would be able to leave the Island on that date, and banned him from the Island for five years.
