Steam Packet CEO apologises for Ben-my-Chree problems

The Chief Executive of the Steam Packet has apologised to all passengers affected by today's delays.

Following the failure of a fuel pump on the Ben-my-Chree the vessel has spent the afternoon anchored off the coast of Lancashire waiting for the problem to be fixed.

Mark Woodward says there have been a number of complicating factors which have increased the time the boat has had to spend waiting to enter the port.

As a consequence this evening's 19.45 scheduled sailing from the Island and the 02.15 return from Heysham tomorrow have been cancelled.

If you're booked on either of these sailings call 661661 to make alternative arrangements.
