Ramsey Dazzles with Festive Cheer

by isleofman.com 13th December 2009

Ramsey is looking its festive finest since the town’s Poppy Princess, 11-year-old Holly Crowe switched on the Christmas tree sponsored by Ramsey Rotary Club outside Ramsey courthouse.

Ramsey Town Commissioners’ chairman Sylvia Beattie said, "Christmas in Ramsey is very much a community event with not one but two sponsored Christmas trees.

"My thanks go to Ramsey Rotary Club for providing the tree outside the Courthouse and to Britannia International for donating the other in Parliament Street.

"The trees help create a wonderful festive atmosphere that attracts people to come and shop in the town and support local retailers, vital in such challenging trading conditions."
