More health questions in Commons

by isleofman.com 14th December 2009

The MP trying to save the reciprocal health agreement between the Island and the UK has more questions tabled on the issue in the House of Commons today (Monday).

Labour member Andrew Mackinlay will ask what consultation the UK Department of Justice had with commerce, trade unions and industry bodies before it decided to cancel the agreement.

Mr Mackinlay will also ask the Secretary of State for Justice if he’s assessed the reaction from Island businesses and education institutions

As a result of the decision, healthcare for Manx residents in the United Kingdom will no longer be free from next April.
