The funeral of a well-known local woman killed in a road accident is being held at lunchtime today.
Thirty-eight-year-old chartered accountant Dru Hamm died crossing the road outside the Hop Garden pub at Mount Murray on November 4.
She was born with cerebral palsy and after her death colleagues and friends paid tribute to 'a remarkable woman', who overcame her disability to live life to the full.
The funeral service is at Broadway Baptist Church at 12.30pm.
A book of remembrance for Dru has opened at the Well Bookshop next door to the Church.
