Second Dog Attack on Langness Flock

by isleofman.com 10th December 2009

Police are investigating a second attack by a dog (or dogs) on sheep in a fenced compound at Langness.

The attack is thought to have taken place between 5pm on 8th December and 8am on 9th December.  Three sheep have subsequently had to be destroyed, while at least two more animals have sustained serious injuries.

It is only a fortnight since a similar attack on the peninsula was reported, also within the fenced area and affecting the same farmer's flock.

As a result of this latest attack, the dog/dogs would have been heavily bloodstained, which would have been obvious to the owner.

Police are appealing for this person to come forward and would also like to hear from any other member of the Public who may have information in relation to this matter.  Contact Police Headquarters on (01624) 631212.
