New member becomes vice-chairman

A Peel commissioner who was elected for the first time last week has been appointed vice-chairman of the board.

A week ago today, Raymond Harmer won the by-election triggered by the resignation of previous vice-chair Penny Hardman earlier this year.

At a meeting of the board this week Mr Harmer was voted into the position.

However, despite his lack of political experience, he believes he is up to the task:
