Prospect Terrace assault - witness appeal

by isleofman.com 10th December 2009

Police are appealing for two good Samaritans to come forward after what's been described as a vicious and unprovoked attack in Douglas at the weekend.

A 40-year-old man was attacked on Bucks Road near Prospect Terrace at 9pm on Sunday, but the incident was cut short by two women who intervened.

The attacker is described as being in his mid-30s, around 6 feet tall, of stocky build and with a Northern Irish accent.

Sergeant Paul Bryant would like to speak to the two women as they may be able to help identify the attacker (play audio file):

If you have any information on the incident you can contact police on 631212.
