Countdown to Christmas in Ramsey

by isleofman.com 9th December 2009

Ramsey has been looking at its festive finest since the town's Poppy Princess, eleven-year-old Holly Crowe, switched on the Christmas tree, sponsored by Ramsey Rotary Club, outside the courthouse.

Chairman of the town commissioners Sylvia Beattie said: "Christmas in Ramsey is very much a community event with two sponsored trees.

"They help create a wonderful festive atmosphere which attracts people to come and shop in the town and support local retailers, which is vital is such challenging trading conditions."

The second tree is sponsored by Britannia International and is in Parliament Street.
