KWC a 'casualty bureau'

Emergency planners have thanked King William's College for its help in holding training exercises.

An exercise testing how the Island would respond to widespread flooding was held there last month, when the emergency services practiced booking evacuees into a 'casualty bureau'.

Assistant emergency planning officer Ian Young says the training simulations are invaluable to staff who would have to deal with the aftermath of serious incidents.

He says the participation of King William's College has been outstanding:
