Money going on Cav for award

by isleofman.com 5th December 2009

The odds on Isle of Man cyclist Mark Cavendish to win the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award are tumbling.

When the announcement of the final 10 was made on Monday, bookmakers said the 'Manx Missile' was an 80/1 outsider.

However, he has been heavily backed and the odds have been slashed to 25/1.

The winner will be announced during a live show from the Sheffield Arena next Sunday evening (Dec 13).
