by isleofman.com 5th December 2009

The Isle of Man made film 'Me and Orson Welles' is continuing to receive plaudits.

A day after being released across the United Kingdom, it's been named as one of the top 10 independent films of the year in a poll in New York.

The movie, starring teen heartthrob Zac Efron, Claire Danes and Christian McKay, was predominantly filmed in the Gaiety Theatre and had its world premiere in London last month.

According to Reuters, films included on the list are viewed as possible Oscar nominations.
