A German ship management company in the Isle of Man has laid off a number of employees.
It's understood about 20 staff at Dohle Shipping have lost their jobs, as a result of the firm transferring part of its operation back to Germany.
Trade and Industry Minister David Cretney says there's no question of Dohle leaving the Island, and his department is offering all the help it can to the people who have been affected by the reorganisation:
