Lucky escape for motorist in Ballabeg

Emergency services were called out after an accident in which a car ended up on its roof.

The incident happened on the Main Road in Ballabeg and the upturned white Renault Megan blocked the road for a time.

The driver, a 30-year-old woman from Ballabeg, escaped injury.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, and anybody who can help is asked to ring Castletown police on 832222.

The accident happened at 5pm on Wednesday.
