Ramsey is remembering all those who lost their lives in the Ellan Vannin disaster a century ago today.
The Steam Packet ferry sailed from the town and was overwhelmed by high seas in the teeth of a gale off the coast of Liverpool.
The tragedy cost the lives of all 35 crew and passengers.
Ramsey commissioners are hosting a service of remembrance (4pm) for all those who died, and it's being held at the Ellan Vannin's point of departure, near the premises of Mezeron on the quayside.
