Local authority by-election today

Voters in Peel go to the polls today.

Four candidates are contesting a position on the board of the town's commissioners.

In alphabetical order, delicatessen proprietor Marlyn Bowie, company managing director Ian Davison, business analyst Raymond Harmer and bookkeeper Suzette Marshall are vying for the seat, made vacant by the resignation of Penny Hardman.

The polling station for the by-election is the Corrin Hall and is open between 8am and 8pm.
