Have your say on the TV licence fee

by isleofman.com 1st December 2009

If you have views on whether the BBC licence fee is a good thing for Manx residents, a Tynwald committee is inviting you to put them forward.

A select committee has been set-up to report on the feasibilty of the current TV licence system and the impact of withdrawing from it.

Any relevant comments or concerns on the issue should be made in writing by Friday, January 15, 2010.

They can be submitted by letter or e-mail to the Clerk of the Committee Jonathan King and, unless otherwise indicated, may be published in the final report.

The matter was brought to Tynwald a fortnight ago by Malew and Santon MHK Graham Cregeen, who will chair the committee. Rushen MHK Phil Gawne and David Callister MLC will also serve on it.
