Road improvement scheme under way

by isleofman.com 30th November 2009

A major road resurfacing project has begun in Onchan.

Work to renew a section of Governor's Road from Governor's Bridge to Onchan roundabout, is expected to last three weeks.

Temporary traffic lights will be in use after the morning rush hour, and there will be three-way signals at a number of junctions along the stretch of road.

The Department of Transport is warning there may be times when people won't be able to drive to their properties, but access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
