The government owned car park in Chester Street, Douglas has been fitted with a new energy saving lighting system.
The electricity bill has been cut by 67 per cent, in one of the first projects to benefit from the Manx Government's Energy Fund.
The work has made the building brighter and safer, while at the same time saving over ?20,000 a year.
Energy Initiatives Officer for DoLGE Peter Longworth says the previous system dated back to the 1980s, when the car park was built:
